Who we are
Mynegy is an independent app built and operated by Lloyd Thomas, a sole-trader developer based in the United Kingdom (“we”, “us”, “I”). This policy explains what data we collect, why, and your rights. Questions: support@mynegy.com.
Data we collect
Account details (email, display name); the text responses, voice recordings and transcripts you submit for AI feedback; usage and progress data (streaks, scores, Communication DNA, levels); and, if you opt in, content you share to the community. Voice recordings are stored only as long as needed to produce your analysis.
How we use it
To provide AI coaching and feedback, track your progress, operate community features you opt into, moderate shared content, process subscriptions, and improve the app.
Legal basis (UK/EU users)
We process your data to perform our contract with you (providing the service), on the basis of your consent (for example, sharing to the community or optional analytics), and for our legitimate interests in running and improving Mynegy. You can withdraw consent at any time.
Aggregated & anonymised data
We may create aggregated and anonymised datasets and statistics from app usage — for example, overall trends in how people communicate. This data cannot be used to identify you. We reserve the right to use, publish, share and sell such aggregated and anonymised data for any purpose, including commercial ones. We do not sell data that can identify you as an individual.
Processors we use
Supabase (authentication, database, storage), OpenAI (AI analysis and moderation of text and audio you submit), RevenueCat and the App Store / Google Play (subscription processing), and optional product analytics. These providers process data on our behalf under their own security terms.
Community content
If you share a response, it becomes visible to other users (with your name or anonymously as you choose). Shared content is screened by automated moderation and can be reported. You can delete your shares and block other users at any time.
Your rights
You can export your data or permanently delete your account from within the app’s Settings. Depending on your location you may have rights to access, correct, delete, or restrict processing of your data, and to object to certain processing. To exercise these rights, contact support@mynegy.com. UK users may also complain to the Information Commissioner’s Office (ico.org.uk).
Retention & security
We keep your data while your account is active and delete it on request. We use industry standard safeguards, but no system is perfectly secure.
Children
Mynegy is not directed to children under 13 (or the minimum age in your country). We do not knowingly collect their data.
Changes
We may update this policy. Material changes will be notified in-app or by email, and the “last updated” date above will change.
